Onstage Work
My Singing
Val trained classically as a soprano, but has expanded her range to even some tenor lines. She enjoys the alto line & loves the sound it fills out into. She's driven by storytelling, but still believes in clear diction. Her vocal style is particularly suited for Handel & her vocal humor lives for Gilbert & Sullivan.

Val trained classically & in musical theatre, but is familiar with folk & jazz singing.

They have sung at casinos across Nevada, The Magic Castle in Hollywood, in Notre Dame & across France, & at prestigious Carnegie Hall.
Val's Acting
Val thrives within Shakespearean text, but leans into whatever is given & drives to create a connection to their partners onstage. She loves making fun & real moments, strives to find the humor within any line possible, & experimenting to find what works best. A line is rarely given twice during rehearsal & keeps experimenting with the text as long as she's able to, & welcomes all input and ideas to try out. They're never done growing as an actor & strives to learn with every rehearsal or script read-through.
Val's Dancing
She began her formal dancing journey with the Desert Hills High School Dance Team. There she honed technique, self drive, ethics, team-building, & skills for retaining choreography. Val continued training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, pole & silks, musical theatre, tap, ballroom, & assorted styles. Technique building has continued throughout her college career & beyond, & they utilize everyday moments as technique building. She loves the history of dance, drawing inspired by Martha Graham & Twyla Tharp.
